Hey guys. My previous Monte Carlo carpet attempt was ruined by an algae attack. I restarted the whole tank and all seemed well. Bought the plants from tropica which seemed to perform quite well. Week 3 now, I see some nice growth with green leaves. Unfortunately recently I've spotted some form of dying off again. My co2 drop checker is green when co2 is on. Only recent changes I've made that I can think of is the addition of some other plants in the aquarium, and changing the siesta from 2 hours

Hi all, I'm planning to setup another 2ft tank. The size is about 2x1x1ft, work out around 60l. If follow the guideline of 8-10x ,480-600lph filter should work for me. Just curious if I can use filter up to 1200lph? Found someone selling 2nd hand, hope to check here before buy. Besides, any aquascaping rocks that I should avoid if I'm setup a planted tank with some cheaper shrimps and small fishes? heard that some will leach chemical to the water. I found 2nd hand also that is smooth surface.
Hello, Hoping to increase the survival of small fathead minnows mixed with 3 voracious native redside shiners and equally grabby white clouds in a 15 gal. unheated tank I planted real vegetation for the first time, finding a highly recommended liverwort type Monosolenium tenerum, said to be very successful by the shop owner. I have a 125 gph hang on filter and air stone as well, doing a weekly 5 gal. water change plus substrate cleansing. I caged it in a small aluminum trap as it is very un
Hi guys, I'm new here and this is my first time setting up a shrimp tank and getting a pet. So I was wondering what should my tank include. I have done some research on planted tanks, but I'm not sure what plants should I get. Also, I read online that before people introduce their shrimp, they cycle their tanks for quite some time. What does cycling the tanks do? So currently I got my filter, air pump, sand ( I don't know what kind, my dad bought it) and 2 fish tank ( both 2 ft) Do I

Hi Guys I have seen some YouTube videos on water changes, where one refills the tank with water DIRECT from the tap and then dosing the necessary Seachem Prime ( water conditioner) into the tank as well. Is this possible when using Singapore water and what are the pros and cons to such a procedure. Here I'm asking specifically for a planted tank with the usual population of Tetras, RCS and Amano shrimps and a water change of 50%. I do have a chiller attached to the tank. Thanks in advance. Ch
