Dropping bag in LHR T3 for a T5 flight?

Hi all,

Would BA let me check my baggage in LHR Terminal 3 for a Terminal 5 departure?

I have to pop by the AA ticket desk in T3 for an issue with another itinerary that I'm flying in a few days, and I happen to flying out of T5 tonight with BA. I thought that I could save myself the effort of dragging my luggage back and forth by dropping it off at my first stop (T3).

There are BA bag drop desks in both terminals so hence i don't think it is a ridiculous suggestion. I imagine the answer is "no" which isn't a huge issue but I thought I'd ask while I'm making my way over to the airport.

Simon

LHR-SEA-HNL - 3rd Party Booked/ VS Flight #s / DL-Operated

All, Hello. I wanted to highlight a seat selection challenge for any who may end up booking DL flights via VS codeshare. A friend who travels infreqently booked LHR SEA HNL (VS flight #s, DL operated), HNL SEA (DL flight #, AS operated), and SEA LHR (DL flight/operated) via cheaptickets.com to get home for a funeral (VS ticket stock, I think - 093). Knowing I spend a lot of time BIS on DL, she asked if I'd look at her flights and help make sure she had things straight to put her information ...

Hello again, after publishing a lot of pictures a week ago (LINK) here as I mentioned, the full review For a long, long time Qatar had to wait for it and I don’t even want to speculate what the cause was. In fact it started the today, the rise of the beauty of the air, the new Qatar Airways A380 on ist first flight from Doha to London. Exiting departures area at LHR after having gone through flight connections?

Hi All, Currently looking for a job, and am planning on stopping in London for meetings on the way from NY to Europe. Unfortunately, the only option at the moment is to fly economy, although I do have sapphire OW status that gives me airside lounge access. I was planning on taking an overnight flight from NY to London, getting in early morning, and then using the day in London for meetings before going off to my final European destination in the evening. Since I'll be flying economy, I won'...

Checking in at LGW for a LHR flight

Newbie here, with what is probably a stupid question, but...... Is it possible to check in with Virgin at LGW for a LHR flight? The reason I want to do this is that I can't check in online (which suggests full flight), and as I can only get to LHR an hour before the flight, I'm worried if the flight is full and I haven't checked in, then I will get bumped. I only have hand luggage, so no issue with bags - I just need to check in and get my boarding pass - and I live 10 minutes from LGW, so e...

CPH: early morning bag drop for a night flight

I need to do a day trip CPH-BRU-CPH and then after arrival in the evening in CPH I need to continue for another Schengen flight XXX. For the last flight I need to check-in a bag. CPH-BRU-CPH is on one ticket, and the leg to XXX is (obviously) on another ticket. I could check my bag in at CPH take it for a meeting in BRU and then check it in again in BRU, possibly asking kindly to tag it to the final destination, so that it makes BRU-CPH-XXX. But I will have rather little time during the BRU ...

Best NYC - LHR BA (or AA) flight in Economy/WT to connect to BA 143 to DEL

Need to connect to BA 143 (LHR - DEL) which departs at 11:45 AM Need to get in a full day of work in lower Manhattan so cannot fly before 8:00 PM and am traveling by myself Want to optimize for comfort (am of medium height and am slim) and not missing connection to BA 143. Alcoholic beverage selection is a non issue as I don't drink alcohol on board - unless getting amazing jerez (sherry) on board IB J. Have to fly in Economy (World Traveler or Main Cabin Extra) and needs to be ticketed by BA 1...

BA Reward Flight Saver LHR DUB

How does one get the Reward Flight Saver awards? I am looking for LHR-DUB on Nov 28 and the quotes I get is 4500 Avios + $ 102 (economy) or 9000 Avios + $ 129 (business) both of which seem ridiculously high for an award flight. ...

ORD-LHR J flight...cash or miles/valuation

Currently have a return award flight booked 11/25 ORD-LHR in BA F with a return 12/1 LHR-MAD-ORD in IB J. Since it's a short trip to visit my significant other, I especially value the premium cabin for rest/comfort. During the OW J fare sales I started thinking about cancelling my award flight and paying cash for the ticket factoring in the BA AARP discount + 10% Chase BA Visa discount. I still can't decide, give me your input with my numbers please. Current Award: 112500 AAdvantage Miles 1500...

Delayed 662/3 (flight crew hours, LHR curfew)

How delayed can a 662/3 rotation (LCA) be without causing the risk of not being able to return into LHR? Thinking of flight crew hours and LHR curfew. Flight crew presumably report at 1100, and its a long day even without a delay. What's the maximum hours they can fly, and does it start when the plane departs or when they report for duty? Looks like todays 662 was 1:25 late departing, and potentially back into LHR only around midnight. ...

CC Holder with Award Flight using BA Avios. Free checked bag?

I am considering booking a one-way flight from OGG-LAS using BA Avios on USAir. Two questions: 1) Do I still get the same benefit, even if the flight was booked via BA? 2) If so, do I need to notify USAir ahead of time or just show them my cc at checkin? Thanks, FF ...
