Sony Vegas MP4 problem - No video, only audio

Yo,

I have a problem when trying to import (into my timeline) .mp4 video file in Sony Vegas Pro 13.

I'm using Mirillis Action! to record video games. I record, video, system sounds and my voice from my microphone. Here's a screenshot of my settings within the software. I'm using the Nvidia NVENC option to boost my performance as that's the only way I can get smooth 60fps while recording (which I want). I also tried using normal .mp4 format and it's still the same problem, so no difference there. AVI works fine and imports the video properly, BUT the problem is that I don't get 60fps (I get an unstable 30fps).

My problem is that whenever I import the .mp4 file into SV13 and try and put it into the timeline the video track doesn't show up. All I get is my two audio channels and that's it. There's literally no video track.

Here's a screenshot of what I mean.

I tried searching the internet and found this, but I couldn't fix the issue.

I can however import a working .mp4 video that I've rendered through Windows Movie Maker. So it's really bugging me why I can't import the videos I record. Also the rendered video that can be imported into SV13 is the MPEG-4/H.264 type. I don't know the type for the recorded video (not working one) though, I don't know how to check.

One more thing, when I try and open the raw recorded video into Windows Media Player, I can only hear one audio channel. But if I open it in the Mirillis Action! player and press "A" the channels switch between one another. Both audio channels work fine when imported into SV13.

I'm not exactly sure what I needed to mention and what I didn't, so I just mentioned everything.

Sony Vegas 11 mp4 problem - Only imports audio, no video

Hi everyone! I ecounter some problems while trying to open .mp4 video files in Sony Vegas Pro 11. I make gaming videos and I use Mirillis Action! to record the gameplay. You see, I am fairly new to this, I've barely recorded a couple of videos and haven't gotten around to uploading any of them, mainly because of not being able to produce them properly. Whenever I try to import a video I've just recorded with Action onto Sony Vegas Pro 11, it only imports the audio and there's no trace of the ...

Sony Vegas cuts MP4 video's audio in half.

For some reason, Sony Vegas Pro 13 is cutting off the audio in my MP4 files, which I recorded with Mirillis Action. The files are more specifically MP4 files with Nvidia NVENC hardware acceleration, and AAC audio format. Vegas starts building the peaks for the video files, and when it reaches 50% it just stops and the audio is gone during the second half of the video, no matter the length. I've tried recording an AVI video with Action, and the audio works perfectly fine, but due to the size of ...

Sony Vegas will no longer render to .mp4

This may not be the best place to ask this, one of the only forums I have an account on, but I believe it's relevant.   I have had Sony Vegas 10 for several years now, 3-4,  and used it 9-10 over those years. I just recently started a let'splay/gaming channel on YouTube and I've been using Sony Vegas 10 to edit and render my videos to .mp4. I have made 35-40 videos over the past several weeks and have had no problems. Until all of a sudden, every time I render to .mp4, it gives me the ...

Sony Vegas Pro 13 [Audio Bug]

Hello,   So recently I have been having an issue with Sony Vegas pro 13. This occurs when I import audio files such as sound effect. The issue is that the audio either gets distorted or gets distorted and is audio from another part of the video and isn't the original sound effect I imported. The audio files are working fine outside of Sony Vegas but as soon as I go to use them in Sony Vegas they get messed up. If anyone can help me with this issue it would be super greatly appreciated. ...

Help with video Rendering (1080p) (youtube) (Sony Vegas)

I've recently started recording my reform guilds boss kills and getting familiar with Youtube and video editing for our kills in WoD. I'm currently recording with Shadowplay the Nvidia recording software in 1080p @30fps and the raw footage looks exactly like ingame it's really good. Anyway I've been messing around with Sony Vegas with different settings for Render qualities but it always comes out no where near as good as I would like I've looked up tutorials etc but still can't get it quite ri...

Editing an audio track in an Mp4 video WITHOUT video data loss ?

I want to change the soundtrack of an MP4. But if I open it in, say, Sony Vegas Pro, when I render it again in the same format, there's quality loss because I start with a lossy source. ( right ?) Is there a way to simply swap the sound of an Mp4 file with another without touching the video ? If so can you guys suggest me software ? Thanks in advance ! I love how kind you all are to newbies like me. ...
