I have 8 speakers in my store and need to move the receiver 30 or so feet away. I don't want to extend the speaker wires. Can I do something wirelessly here?

Thanks in advance.

Speaker Wire by the foot - 14-2 and 16-2 Lowes $.06 & $.05 YMMV

Well this will most likely be a YMMV trip but if you need speaker wire you may be able to get some pretty damn cheap by the foot. The in store item number is 14-2 -> 18572 and 16-2 -> 18571. They were at $.06 and $.05 respectively. This was at the Libertyville Illinois Lowes location. The guy helping me didn't really seem to want to sell me 200 ft but for only $12 I didn't see any reason not to. I only needed probably 75 but I was going to pay $20 at monoprice for some anyways so tho...

Kimber Kable 8TC, bi-wire speaker cables

I have a pair of Kimber Kable 8TC bi-wire speaker cables for sale in very good condition. Both cables are approx. 10 feet in length and terminated with Kimber banana connectors on each end. I was using them to bi-wire Magnepan 1.6's, but upgraded to the 1.7's so I don't need them anymore. Great cable, retail is like $450, sell for $250 shipped, pay with PayPal. Speaker Wire - Length & Performance (AWG)

So I've been trying to educate myself more and more on the speaker wire that will provide me with the best bang for the buck. My current setup is a Pioneer Elite SC-71 hooked up to two Martin Logan Motion 40's (Bi-Amped) using AudioQuest Rocket 33's (Split to be utilized as Bi-Amp and 10 feet in length). I've been reading posts from all major audio forums and 99% of the users are stating that if your not planning on placing the speakers very far from the receiver or not planning on wiring the ...

Speaker wire question

I'm having my basement finished and currently the speaker wire is behind run behind the walls. I bought 100' of 14 gauge wire from Monoprice but ended up being about 25' short. For the point of keeping things on schedule, I'm thinking about just running to Wal Mart and picking up some RCA brand 14 gauge wire for the last remaining speaker (the center). Mixing speaker wire brands like this won't create any sound quality issues, will it? ...

Speaker wire questions

Speaker wire questions Okay so I am a newbie and learning as I go and I'm making mistakes. Basement is framed and wires have been run, and I've purchased this speaker wire for in-wall installation: http://www.monoprice.com/Product?c_i...seq=1&format=2 I didn't even realize there was such a thing as in-wall speaker wire until now. So, is the wire I bought unusable for in-wall? Is it a code violation issue? Would this wire break down over time inside the walls and lead to sound quality is...

What gauge speaker wire should I use?

I recently purchased a pair of Paradigm Signature S6 and a Signature center C5. The fronts will be around 6 to 7 ft away from the receiver equally and the center will be around 3ft. Should I use 14 or 16 gauge? and does it matter what brand of speaker wire I use? ...

Whole Home Speakers that presently powered by Speaker Wire

I just bought a house with 8 built in speakers in the 4 rooms with 4 round knob controllers (one in each room). There are two sets of 14 gauge wire that power these 8 speakers. One set of wires connects two of the speakers in the family room and one set connects the remaining 6 speakers throughout the house. I recently hooked up my H and K 240 receiver to the speakers and confirm they all work but the H and K receiver keeps shutting down in 'protect' mode so I assume that it is under or over...

what to do with speaker wire?

Im not sure what i should do with my speaker wire that is ran in the walls for my 5.1 speaker system. The speakers will be small and surface mounted. Maybe something similar to this: Should i put them in to a single gang plastic box and plan on putting a plate on it like this: should i just stub them out of the wall? Is there a better way that im not knowing about? ...

RCA to Speaker Wire + DAC + Volume Controller

Hello, I have recently inherited a pair of very good quality on speakers which work great on an old hifi. However, I would like to add the to the office without the big hifi unit. Any ideas what I need in addition to play these speakers through my computer? I think I need a SPDIF cable which plugs into a DAC, then RCA phono to speaker wire. Any ideas how I can fit a volume controller in there? Are these the things I need? RCA speaker wire: ebay.co.uk/itm/3M-RCA-PHONO-PC-SPEAKER-WIRE-EXTENS...

Speaker Wire: Is this quality ok?

The guy at Monoprice said speaker wire is speaker wire and that brand doesn't matter. This wire (link below) is relatively cheap compared to the same gauge wire found at Home Depot that is upwards of $75. Any thoughts on this speaker wire? http://www.monoprice.com/Product?c_i...seq=1&format=2 ...
