[Suggestion] Cargo ramps? on Kerbal Space Program

I know that b9 Aerospace is currently being upgraded for 1.0.X, but are there any other cargo ramps out there?

[Suggestion] Circular/Cylindrical Cargo Bays on Kerbal Space Program

Okay, I would like to have a friendly little discussion about my suggestion: Circular/Cylindrical Cargo bays. I would LOVE to see something like this is KSP. I was just playing KSP and wanted to use the new cargo bays, but for the life of me, I cannot figure out how to make such an awkward shaped cargo bay conform to a rocket. It is spectacular for an aircraft, space plane, and probably an SSTO, but for a rocket? They, to me at the very least, come up short in terms of utility and how one can u...

[Suggestion] Jettison button for cargo bay on Kerbal Space Program

I think all is in the title. As of now we all use either a radial decoupler or small docking port on the cargo bay node. I had a problem with those in that they both eject the cargo with force or not in the right direction, the radial decoupler is also quite visible both on the spaceplane and the payload (plus since I used the cargo-hold to put battery the payload got stuck in them) So I'm suggesting we assume the cargo to be secured by default and be jettisoned with a speed of 0 (or slowly i...

[Suggestion] Ability to place stuff radially on the walls of cargo bay on Kerbal Space Program

Just let us place solar panels on the inside walls that open on the mk2 cargo bay like how the shuttle was. ...

[Suggestion] Upcoming Mk3 parts should be large enough to accommodate 2.5m parts in the cargo bay on Kerbal Space Program

The Mk3 parts, as they presently exist, are meant to approximate the Space Shuttle orbiter. Let's consider what the real Space Shuttle's primary function was: to transport large modules to the ISS during its construction. The large modular pieces in KSP that are often used in space station construction are all 2.5m wide; The PPD-10 Hitchhiker Storage Container, Mobile Processing Lab MPL-LG-2 and PPD-12 Cupola Module. For the Mk3 to have any real advantage/difference over the new Mk2, it ought t...

[Suggestion] MK. 3 Cargo Bay on Kerbal Space Program

Pretty simple suggestion, actually. Don't get me wrong, I do like the Mk.2 parts a LOT, but they're supposed to be the DreamChaser-esque type of craft. What was supposed to be the toroidal and bulky Space Shuttle the days when we didn't have Cargo Bays were the Mk.3 parts, and his was really their only advanage against te Mk.1 line. Now that there are Cargo Bays in sock KSP, though, I cannot blame the people who happily replace authenticity with practicality, and the forums are flooded with the...

[Suggestion] Ramps and basic mechanical parts and hings etc. on Kerbal Space Program

I've run into something I want to add to my cargo bay. A custom made ramp and posibly elevator pad with clamps or some temporary holding device for a small rover. And a deployable unfoldable/refoldable ramp system to get to the ground and back in the cargo bay(basically I want to install it in the cargo bay and customize it to make it fit in the sides and bottom or where needed for it's purpose). This requires sheets of metal the right size(might exist) and some form of electric powered hinges e...

[Suggestion] Need cargo bays for vertical rockets on Kerbal Space Program

The one glaring problem I see left in Kerbal is that vertical rockets don't have any cargo bays in the stock parts. The problem comes when I try to put a lander and a rover on the same landing platform. There's no easy way to deploy a rover. I keep wishing I had a cargo bay that could be attached at the bottom of the lander that would include the rover. ...

[Suggestion] Add Cargo Bays for Rockets on Kerbal Space Program

With the coming aerodynamic overhaul we would obviously need fairings similar to KW Rocketry, but we would also use cylindrical cargo bays in 1.25, 2.5, 3.75 and 5 meter sizes. Currently they're only available for planes. It's a great way to cover parts to reduce/remove their drag instead of attaching them to the outside of the fuselage. ...

[Suggestion] Suggested best practices for implementation of cargo bays. on Kerbal Space Program

As I was reading the dev notes today, one of the specific notes Harvester had is that v1.0 cargo bays will become more useful because they will now properly shield their contents from aerodynamic forces when closed. I think this concept should be extended to include cargo tie-downs. It makes sense that part of the standard gear of a cargo bay should be equipment for securing a load under any reasonable conditions-- anything up to where the cargo bay itself is in danger of structural failure. T...

[Suggestion] Reusable Craft on Kerbal Space Program

Currently, once a craft is landed on Kerbin and is recovered, you get funds back into your bank from all the craft's parts. I think the best way to go about this is have a folder in the parts menu where any craft that is recovered will be put there. From there you can select to save it for later use again or scrap it for funds. If you have say a shuttle or a sophisticated lander that gets into space by being attached to rockets, once you land it back to Kerbin there is no way to get it back ...

[Suggestion] Competitive game type? on Kerbal Space Program

im not skilled in modding the game but i have big ideas... Kerbal 'Capture the Kerbal' Imagine.... 1 main large planet with 2 moons in equal orbit but opposite sides of the planet. One moon is team blue, one moon is team red. The main planet in the middle has 1000+ stranded kerbal Both teams race to collect as many kerbal as possible within 5 years in game time. Both teams can speed accelerate separately If red gets kerbal x by day 4, but then blue comes in by day 3 and rescues kerbal x then t...

[Request] Mk2 Cargo Bay that can hold a Mk1 Lander Can on Kerbal Space Program

Hi all, I'm wondering whether a good artist/ modder would able to get out a hammer and bash some outward dents in the SP+ (now stock Cargo Bay) so that a Mk1 Lander Can is able to fit without pushing through the hull. I'm sure this would be a popular addition! Thanks in advance! Peace. ...

[Suggestion] A bunch of suggestions on Kerbal Space Program

Hello, I want to make a few suggestions that I (and maybe others?) would like to see in the game added. I already want to say sorry, because I will mention some things that had already been suggested, but would like to add things to it. Mining I have seen this being suggested, but I think it would be awesome thing to add for example. - Getting quest for mining a resource on other planets/moons - E.g: Mine* 5 KG of Eve stone or whatever - Getting advanced rockets - E.g: Mining He-3 on Mun a...

[Suggestion] Suggestions to add more variety to the contract system on Kerbal Space Program

I'll start with this disclaimer: I'm very happy with the contract system as it is. It adds challenges to the game and hence replay value. One question, however, has plagued me since the advent of contracts: Why aren't there contracts for anything besides testing, rescues, 'collect science from orbit', and planting flags? They'd dovetail perfectly into career mode. To start out, you could be tasked with retrieving a surface sample or sending a crew report from a certain biome. As you unlock ...

[Suggestion] Polishing patch on Kerbal Space Program

I think you guys have done a good job so far with all the new content. I think tho it is time to sit down and polish what you have so far. The last couple patches have added alot of content, but has degraded the overall feel of the game to a bit of something sloppy. Adding more content on top of what you have done so far will exacerbate this problem. ...
