Connecting multiple workstations to a flatscreen tv for presentation purposes

Hey guys, our marketing dep. has a kind of showing-room for our customers with a big flatscreen tv and about 8 - 10 computers, each with different technical devices attached to them for presentationpurposes. All computers have a separate 22" lcd screen, so at the moment the whole presentation stuff takes place in front of these but its getting a bitawkward for a huge group of customers to look at a 22" lcd with one of our employee in front. The tv has neither enough connecting-options nor do i lik...

Connecting multiple LANs

Hi, I have 3 physical locations. Each has ADSL (different providers) 2 of the location have line of sight to the 3rd, but not each other. We want to be able to put 5Ghz radios on our chimneys to create our own LAN. The only problem is that we want to be able to use dhcp in each location from its local router, but also access pcs, servers etc at the other locations. we cant use rdp because it's way too slow. We are using Mikrotik SA5 radios. we only have home routers at the moment, 2 x netgear an...

Completely PREVENT PlayBook from auto connecting to public unsecured Wi-Fi networks

Hi guys. At home my Wi-Fi is unsecured and my PlayBook auto joins it and asks me to log in. That's all well and good and it is a saved network. However, sometimes when I'm out and about, I forget to turn off the Wi-Fi on the device and my PlayBook auto joins new networks, if they're public, unsecured hotspots. I then have to go to Wi-Fi settings and manually delete the newly saved network and then disable Wi-Fi. This is NOT what I want, it's got a data SIM card inside it, and if that fails, I'l...

WiFi not connecting to networks in the 2.4 ghz band

The Sony Xperia ZR phone is not able to connect to any WiFi network in the 2.4 ghz range. When I turn on the wireless, it would automatically detect and connect to the configured 2.4 ghz network. However, since yesterday, it is showing the network name, but shows as Not in Range. However, it connects successfully to 5 ghz networks. Is there a way to resolve this issue and connect to 2.4 ghz wireless networks?...

Connecting TOR Network through multiple VPNs

I want to make a setup like this: Me--->VPNX--->VPNY--->TOR--->Internet The reason why I want to do something like this is because I want to hide the fact that I'm using TOR from my ISP and avoid being backtraced to my ip if something happens in TOR network. I thought of connecting tor through just one vpn but I also don't want the vpn to know what I'm doing and my real ip at the same time. With the setup above, my guess is VPNY will see the information I'm send...

Connecting Multiple HDMI TV's in different rooms to video sources in one room

This is going to take a while to explain and may even takea few re-reads so in advance I appreciate the reply's!! :)We arethe process ofplanning for anew building that is being built. There will be TV's in multiple rooms across the building.Take in mind that all of the TV's are going to be wall mounted and have a seamless look, ( outlet behind TV/Coax outlet/ Articulating Wall mounts etc.) So the idea is to continue with this look by having a seamless design and still be able to use it to its fu...

Connect to multiple networks

Greetings. I have an HP 8600 all in one. I recently replaced an old router with a new Linksys AC1900 router. This router is dual-band with 2 ghz and 5 ghz networks plus an additional guest network. All have unique SSIDs. Is it possible to connect the 8600 to be seen and used by all 3 networks without having to manually switch networks? I have the additional option of plugging the 8600 into a USB port on the router itself if that would help. Appreciate any thoughts....

Sort and group multiple networks by IP

Hi, I want to create a report that will graph the traffic from wireless networks and wired networks so that I can see which networks have the most usage. The graph will have two fields - wireless and wired. There are multiple subnets for each network type. There are fewer wireless networks than wired so searching for wireless networks and making everything else "other" is ok. I've looked at eval, case, if, where, and lookups but I am unsure of the best way to search, sort, and group the data...
