Fluval 306 Canister Filter: Waterflow is so slow..

I have the flow control level pushed all the way down and the water flow is very slow. Definitely slower than when I first got my filter. I already checked the filter and the filter media seems pretty clean. I am stuck.. Can anyone help me with this?...

Fluval 306 Canister Filter: Filter is making weird noises

My filter is suddenly starting making these weird grinding noises and I don't know what it is. There isn't air bubbles coming out of the filter so I don't think there are any leaks or anything... Please help!...

Fluval 306 Canister Filter: Having trouble starting the filter

I've already tried to prime the filter and get the filter going. For some reason the instant-primer isn't auto filling the canister and when I filled the canister myself and plug in the device, I can hear it trying to run but there is no waterflow. Any help will be appreciated!...

Fluval 306/406 Filter Bio-Foam

Exclusively designed for Fluval aquarium canister filters, Fluval Bio-Foam performs exceptional mechanical and biological filtration. Bio-Foam's dense structure is very effective at trapping small particles that are not captured in the first stage of foam filtration. In addition, its intricate network of pores provides a large surface area that encourages the growth of helpful nitrifying bacteria, which is crucial for efficient biological filtration and goes a long way in creating clear and heal...

SC impeller shaft bushing

So I'm rebuilding my P600b that I just bought for my 5.0 swapped E36. And currently the only replacement impeller I can locate won't fit exactly on the impeller shaft. The seller said I can just put a bushing in and it will be good. Personally it seems fine, but I'm not 100% on that one. Any tips on this one? Anyone ever done something like this? ...

Rebuild Z3M Output shaft, Inner CV Joint w/ Porsche 911 CVJ (WIP)

Following a lot of the information found on this thread I have decided to try rebuilding my Z3M Coupe output shaft CV Joint (Inner) because of rumbling on acceleration. The inner CV Joint (next to differential) is usually the problem when there's rumbling on acceleration/deceleration. The inner CV Joint can also cause the differential output flange to come out of the diff, especially when the spring clip is worn. It seems some people use the Porsche 911 Turbo (930) CV Joints, but they are too...

Cam Shaft Cover Gasket Repalcement

Preparing to replace the camshaft cover gasket on my 95' 525i (e34). I have the gasket as well as the ones for the spark plugs and bolts. Is there any trick to the reinstallation ? Do you need to apply any gasket sealer or silicone ? what is the best type to use ? I ask because when removing the old one I noticed that 4 out of 6 spark plug holes where filled with oil. Any "tribal knowledge" on this procedure would be greatly appreciated . ...

1984 318 i Fuel tank / Drive Shaft Query

We inherited a 1984 318i that had sat unused for about 8 years without much gas in the tank, as one would expect the fuel tank gathered condensation, and (of course) the tank collected rust debris and other what may be. We replaced the fuel filter, cleaned everything (injectors, fuel lines, etc.), and the auto fired up and ran like a scalded cat for about 5 hours. The car started cutting out and finally had to be towed home. We have been told to thoroughly clean/dry the fuel tank, and to remove ...

AS 306/323 Sunday 10/5; dodged a bullet

Was scheduled to fly AS 323 yesterday SFO-SEA, scheduled for 7:15. Around 4pm got an alert that it would be delayed. Then got three more alerts in the next 30 minutes changing the departure time back and forth. Since it seemed like they were really unclear about what was going on with the flight, and since I was in Berkeley anyway, I called and asked to be switched to AS 347 leaving OAK at 6:45. AS 323 didn't leave SFO until midnight. Not only did I dodge a bullet, but they put us in exit ro...

crank shaft position sensor keeps going bad

I have a 1992 e36 325i and my crank shaft position sensor went bad about a month ago it's already been changed twice within the period of 2 months....now I'm having the same symptoms of it going bad. I also have a valve cover gasket leak so I was thinking maybe oil is leaking on the sensor and making it go bad ...

Does anyone need an e36 M drive shaft core?

Hey guys, I have a drive shaft that is not that old that leaked the grease out of the joint and started making noise. If anyone would like it for a core, or even to rebuild it is yours. I would rather someone take it than it go to the scrap guy just to get crushed. 6 bolt manual trans 95 ...

Changing DDC pump impeller - Performance/Noise

I'm wondering if there would be a performance or noise boost or penalty if i were to use an impeller from a DDC1 (black impeller, really large intake) into any of the DDC3 offerings (blue impeller, small intake) currently on the market. Has anyone tried that? OR are the impellers incompatible between DDC series? ...
